Section 1: Auction Listing Data
- Loss type verified (collision, flood, fire, hail, mechanical, vandalism)
- Primary and secondary damage codes reviewed
- Primary and secondary damage codes noted
- Odometer reading recorded and cross-checked with wear
- Title type confirmed (salvage, rebuilt, clean, parts-only)
- "Run and drive" or non-running status noted
- Keys status (present, absent, unknown)
- Location of the vehicle and transport cost estimated
Section 2: Exterior Photo Review
- All four corners photographed and reviewed
- Panel gaps checked for uniformity
- Paint color consistency across all panels
- No visible overspray on trim, glass, or rubber seals
- All glass intact (windshield, side windows, rear glass)
- Wheels and tires visible and damage noted
- No visible frame kinks from front or rear photos

- Condition of bumpers and bumper covers

- Infotainment screen visible — no cracks or water damage
- Seats in reasonable condition for stated mileage
Section 4: Engine Bay Photo Review
- Engine visible and identifiable
- No visible smoke staining or fire damage
- Frame rails straight and unkinked
- No visible corrosion on electrical connectors
- No visible water intrusion or mud residue
- Battery terminals clean (where visible)
- No crumpled firewall or radiator support collapse
Section 5: VIN and History Check
- VIN decoded for year, make, model, trim, factory options
- NMVTIS or equivalent federal database checked
- Carfax or AutoCheck report reviewed
- Title brand history reviewed — no hidden prior salvage
- Odometer history consistent with current reading
- No open recalls (check NHTSA.gov)
- Prior theft report check
- Registration state history reviewed for title washing risk
Section 6: Financial Assessment
- Clean retail value of comparable vehicle established
- Parts cost estimate for all visible damage
- Labor cost estimate (or DIY hours) calculated
- Auction buyer's fee calculated at your expected bid price
- Transport cost estimated
- Title transfer and registration fees estimated
- Any state inspection costs included
